The Surfman Registry was an idea of members of the US Life Saving Service Heritage Association. Visit www.uslife-savingservice.org for more information about this group. They envisioned a nationwide list of all the deceased Surfmen and where they are buried. The information gathered is being placed in a database and includes specifics about their duty stations and length of service. The data will be available for persons wishing to research their Life Saving Service ancestor, and would enable civic minded groups to properly embellish the gravesites on Memorial Day.
